Smart goggles are somewhat marginal, and so far no one has been able to prepare a product that would have achieved mass success. Google Glass was the most promising in this area, but over time they fell into oblivion to eventually appear in the corporate edition.
But that won’t prevent Samsung from thinking about this kind of device, at least on paper. The result of his efforts is a patent that shows massive rimmed glasses where electronics are hidden in one of the legs. The most interesting is the display itself, which is part of one of the slides. In the off state, it should not restrict the view through the glasses and will only be activated as needed. This is no miraculous technology for a transparent display, and Samsung will deploy a mini projector here.
The whole thing is very interesting, especially the fact that electronics | don’t bother if it’s off. As with all other patents, we can only guess when and if a similar device ever gets physical.
